We recently recorded a video featuring the Blòkan by TouellSkouarn, an analog tube-based ring modulator that stands apart from conventional designs. Thanks to its unique tube and transformer architecture, it delivers a distinctly raw and characterful sound. One of its standout features is the ability to swap different types of tubes, allowing for further tonal variation and experimentation. Compared to classic ring modulators, the Blòkan introduces a noisier, more organic texture that adds depth and unpredictability.
